- Product and Collection Data: We access product details, variants, prices, inventory levels, and collection structures through Shopify’s APIs (using the
read_products scope) to build and display accurate filters and search results on your storefront.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymized data on how merchants interact with the app dashboard (e.g., filter configuration and styling settings) to improve performance and user experience.
- Customer Search Data: We process search queries and filter selections made by your customers to provide relevant results. This data is typically anonymized and does not include Personal Identifiable Information (PII) like names or addresses.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Enable advanced product filtering and lightning-fast search on your Shopify storefront.
- Synchronize your product catalog in real-time to ensure filters reflect current stock and pricing.

- Comply with Shopify’s mandatory webhook requirements, including customer data deletion requests.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Storage: All data is securely stored on servers compliant with industry-standard encryption protocols (TLS/SSL).
- Access Control: Access to merchant data is strictly limited to authorized personnel only for the purpose of maintenance and support.
- Data Retention: We retain store data only as long as the app is installed. Upon uninstallation, we delete all store-specific data within 48 hours to 30 days, in full accordance with Shopify’s data deletion webhooks.

- Shopify Ecosystem: We use Shopify’s official APIs to process data, ensuring full compliance with Shopify’s security policies.
- No Third-Party Selling: We never sell, rent, or share merchant or customer data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Compliance with Privacy Laws

- Using session tokens for secure app authentication.
- Protecting against common web vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, etc.).
- Handling “Mandatory Webhooks” for data erasure and access requests.

Filtrify Product Filter Search does not use third-party tracking cookies. We utilize browser Local Storage or session tokens to remember a customer’s filter selections (e.g., keeping the “Size: Large” filter active as they browse) to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
